Username guidelines
Gastrotruck connects people around food trucks, food trailers and catering equipment. Choose a friendly, professional username suited to a trustworthy marketplace.
Respect, not insults
Insults, threats, racist and discriminatory names are not allowed. This includes demeaning people because of their origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability.
No sexual or sexist content
Avoid pornographic terms, sexual harassment, statements degrading women or men and other demeaning references.
No political advertising
Usernames must not contain party advertising, political slogans, extremist messages or ideological propaganda. Choose a neutral name related to you, your business or your listing.
No impersonation
Do not impersonate another person, another business or a Gastrotruck employee. Names suggesting an official administration, support or moderator role are reserved.
Protect personal data
Do not use email addresses, phone numbers, web addresses or other people’s personal data as usernames.
Readable and unique
The name must contain 3 to 24 characters. Latin letters, digits, spaces, periods, hyphens and underscores are allowed. At least one letter is required. Changing case, accents or separators does not make an existing name available again.
Rules also apply to altered spellings
Deliberate misspellings, numeric codes and hidden references do not change these rules. Automated checks assist moderation. They do not replace individual review.
When a username is flagged
We may remove or temporarily replace an unacceptable name. You will receive the reason by email and be asked to choose a new name. No waiting period applies. Listings, messages and credits are retained.
Keep names recognisable
Voluntary changes are possible every 30 days. Existing accounts can replace a previously generated name themselves, provided no current change waiting period applies.
Business and billing information
A username does not replace accurate business or billing information. Business profiles continue to show the company name.
